Friyays at Makossa is a weekly DJ residency bringing together emerging talent and underground sound in one room. A project by Club Makossa x The Faded Community
Every week is a genre journey — starting warm and euphoric, building in energy as the night goes on, and finishing on a high. No filler. No repeats. Just a well-curated night that respects the music and the crowd.

We're booking DJs every week across all five slots. Whether you're just getting your first bookings or you've been in the game a while, Friyays is a real room, a real crowd, and a real opportunity to show what you can do.
Get paid to play
Every DJ gets paid. Full stop. And if the night does well, so do you.
Guaranteed per set, every week. Confirmed on booking.
On top of your base if the night hits £1,500 in revenue. Bring your crowd and it pays off.
ONE
Apply for a slot — tell us your genre, your level, and drop us a mix or a link. We match DJs to the set that fits them best.
TWO
Get confirmed — we'll come back to you with your date, time slot, and any details you need before the night.
THREE
Bring your mates — the night is better when the room is full, and if the bar hits its target, every DJ on that bill gets the bonus too.
FOUR
Play a great set — do your thing. The room is set up for you to shine.

People ask us all the time — why Club Makossa? Out of every venue in London, why base our residency in a basement in Dalston that not even the locals can pronounce?
We’ve worked with Club Makossa for the last 3 or 4 years, and if you want the honest answer, it’s this: we genuinely love the way they support grassroots artists. Not just talk about it — actually do it. Allowing us the space to put in local underground talent, night after night, year after year, is rarer than you’d think in this industry.
That’s the whole reason FRIYAYS exists. It’s the next chapter of something we’ve been building together for years — a proper residency, every Friday, giving underground DJs a real platform and a real payday, while helping keep this space alive for the community that needs it.
