If 8 Mile and Boiler Room had a baby, this would be it. This is more than just a DJ competition, it’s the music industry A&R providing a pathway program to discover and nurture emerging talents from the underground up.
Throughout the year, we’re hosting three qualifying DJ Battles (Feb, May, Sept) that lead straight to the All-Stars Championship in November. Each knockout tournament puts 8 DJs from wide musical backgrounds and genres in the match, training them to compete through technical skills, track selections and performance mastery. It’s not how great a DJ is compared to another because by being selected in the Final 8, they’ve already proven that. It’s how well they seize the moment.
The night is interactive and high energy. After each round, industry judges will cast their feedback and votes, alongside the live-audience who are invited to be the 3rd vote! Watch our Youtube or IG Highlights to get a glimpse inside the Battles.

The vibe is raw: a 360-degree booth puts the DJ right in the teeth of the crowd. You aren't just a spectator; you’re the judge. While industry heavyweights break down the technicals and cast their votes, the crowd also gets to decide who advances via a decibel-metered scream. It’s part sporting tournament, part reality TV, and a total sensory overload.

THE STORY
Back2Back DJ Battle was created by Cat aka Faded Society in January 2024 with a single idea: put two DJs with different sounds on a stage together and see what happens. What started as a competition quickly became something harder to ignore.
By Season 3, it's grown into a full artist development programme — live production and competition standards raised, and a track record of DJs leaving with more opportunities than they arrived with. Cat built this from the ground up, independently, with a small team who show up because they genuinely believe in what grassroots looks like when it's done with intention.
