MUSIC MARKETING:
Four things that genuinely works
No algorithm tricks. No hacks. Just four basics done consistently.
Faces over logos: People connect with people, not brands. Show the DJs, the crew, the room. A candid shot of someone locked in behind the decks does more than a polished graphic. The more human it looks, the more people trust it.
Video doesn't need to be good: A phone clip of a clean transition, the crowd catching a vibe, someone digging through crates — that's what people actually stop to watch. Overproduced content feels out of place in underground spaces. Gritty and real wins.
Show the bits in between: Soundchecks, studio sessions, the chaos of load-in. Behind-the-scenes content tends to outperform polished posts because it makes the journey visible. People don't just want the highlight — they want to see how it gets made.
Stop overthinking it: Most people stall waiting to post something good enough. Consistency beats quality at this stage. Show what you love doing and keep showing it — the audience finds the vibe when you stay in it long enough.
THE CHECK LIST
Post one piece of content featuring a face, not a logo
Film one phone clip — a mix, a moment, anything real
Share one behind-the-scenes shot from your next session or show
Schedule your next three posts before you talk yourself out of them
